On Android, menu names may differ between Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi, and other manufacturers.
Turn on mobile data for the new eSIM line and separately turn on Data Roaming for it (same SIM card screen). Without roaming on the eSIM line itself the eSIM won't get data abroad even if the line is active — this is the most common reason an eSIM "doesn't work".
